Purchasing a Number

Buy dedicated phone numbers for your business through TAAX Pro. These numbers can be assigned to employees for communication, enabling better call routing, tracking, and customer interaction within the platform. You can choose to purchase from pre-listed numbers provided by the system or search and purchase a custom number based on your preferences.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to purchase a number on the TAAX Pro platform. 

Purchase from Pre-Listed Numbers

This option allows you to choose and purchase a phone number from a list of available numbers provided by the system. It offers a quick and convenient way to get a number without needing to search manually.

Step 1: Navigate to the left side panel, hover over the “Virtual Phone” section, then click on the “Purchase a Number” option.

Step 2: The Purchase a Number screen will appear, displaying a list of all available phone numbers you can purchase. From here, you can browse and select a number that suits your business needs. 

Step 3: Click the Purchase button next to the number you want to buy. This will initiate the process to add the selected number to your account for business use.

Step 4: A modal window will appear at the top of the screen, prompting you to assign the purchased number to the appropriate employee. Select the employee from the list to complete the assignment.

Step 5: Click the Purchase & Assign button to complete the process. This will purchase the selected number and assign it to the chosen employee.

After clicking the Purchase & Assign button, a confirmation pop-up will appear with the message “Number purchased successfully.” Click the OK button to close the pop-up.

After purchasing a number, you can view it in the Manage Numbers section. This area displays all purchased numbers along with their assignment details and current status.

Purchase a Custom Number using Search

This option allows you to search for and purchase a specific phone number based on custom criteria, such as area code or digit pattern. It helps you find numbers that best match your business needs.

Step 1: Navigate to the left side panel, hover over the “Virtual Phone” section, then click on the “Purchase a Number” option.

Step 2: The Filter Available Numbers screen will appear. Enter the desired values into the filter fields as described in the table below to narrow down your search for a specific number.

Select a number type filter (e.g., All, Local, Toll-Free) to narrow your search.

Area Code

Enter a specific area code (e.g., 415) to find numbers in a particular region.

Search by Word or Digits

Search for numbers containing specific words or digit patterns (e.g., "123").


Step 3: If the phone number you searched for is available—or if similar numbers are found, they will appear in the Purchase a Number list below. From there, you can review and select the number you wish to purchase.

Step 4: Click the Purchase button next to the number you wish to buy. This will initiate the process to add the selected number to your account for business use.
